General Wrap Questions
What is a vinyl wrap?
A vinyl wrap is a flexible, adhesive-backed film applied over the surface of your vehicle. It can be used to change the color, finish, or branding of your car without permanent paint or bodywork. Wraps are available in gloss, matte, satin, chrome, carbon fiber, and more.
How long does a vehicle wrap last?
With proper care, a professionally installed wrap typically lasts between 5 and 7 years. Factors like sun exposure, climate, vehicle care, and wrap type can impact lifespan.
Is a wrap safe for my paint?
Yes. Vinyl wraps are non-damaging and fully removable when installed and removed properly. In fact, wraps protect the paint underneath from UV rays, chips, and scratches.
Can you wrap over scratches or dents?
We recommend wrapping only over clean, smooth, and defect-free surfaces. Minor surface scratches may be fine, but dents, rust, or chipped paint should be corrected prior to installation for best results.
Cost & Pricing
How much does a full wrap cost?
Wrap prices vary based on vehicle size, coverage, material, and complexity. As a general range, most full wraps start between $2,500–$3,500 for cars and go up from there for trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles.
Do partial wraps or accents cost less?
Yes. Roof wraps, hood wraps, mirror caps, stripes, and chrome delete services can range from $150 to $1,000 depending on coverage.
Are business/fleet wraps priced differently?
Commercial wraps can be priced per vehicle or as part of a fleet package. We offer branding consultation, layout design, and multi-vehicle discounts for business clients.
Installation & Timing
How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?
Most full car wraps take 2 to 4 business days. This allows time for surface prep, vinyl installation, post-heat curing, and final inspection. Specialty projects or large vehicles may require more time.
Do I need to prep my vehicle before wrapping?
Yes. We ask that you wash your vehicle thoroughly 24 hours before drop-off (no wax or tire shine). We’ll handle the final cleaning, but a clean starting point speeds up installation and prevents flaws.
What areas are typically wrapped?
For full wraps, we cover painted panels including doors, hood, fenders, roof, bumpers, and side mirrors. We do not wrap plastic trim, rubber, or textured surfaces unless requested and confirmed.
Wrap Care & Maintenance
How do I wash my wrapped vehicle?
Hand washing is best. Use pH-neutral soap, soft microfiber mitts, and avoid high-pressure or automated car washes (especially with brushes). Do not use waxes or polishes unless they are vinyl-safe.
Can I take my wrap through a car wash?
Touchless car washes may be safe if they use gentle water pressure, but we still recommend hand washing to extend the life of your wrap.
Does vinyl fade or discolor?
Quality vinyl resists fading for years, but excessive UV exposure can affect color — especially with low-maintenance care. Matte, satin, and color shift wraps may show fading sooner if uncoated.
Should I get ceramic coating on my wrap?
Absolutely. We offer wrap-safe ceramic coatings that extend the life of your vinyl, repel contaminants, and make cleaning easier.
Wrap Removal Questions
Can a vinyl wrap be removed?
Yes. Wraps are designed to be removable without damage to paint. Removal should be done by a professional, especially if the vinyl is several years old or exposed to heavy sun.
How much does wrap removal cost?
Wrap removal starts around $500 for most cars and varies based on vinyl age, type, and condition. Vehicles with multiple layers, failing adhesive, or sunbaked panels may cost more.
Specialty Wrap Questions
Do you wrap motorcycles, slingshots, and boats?
Yes. We wrap motorcycles, three-wheeled slingshots, and marine vehicles with appropriate vinyl and install techniques.
What is a chrome delete?
A chrome delete is the process of covering chrome trim (around windows, grilles, handles, etc.) with black or body-matching vinyl for a cleaner, modern appearance.
Can you wrap headlights and taillights?
Yes. We apply smoked or lightly tinted films designed specifically for light housings. Our tint films are translucent and removable.
